Yosef Golowa, MD FSIR
Yosef Golowa, MD FSIR, is double board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular/Interventional Radiology. He is a Harvard-trained Interventional Radiologist and has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in innovative, minimally invasive, image-guided therapies. Dr. Golowa worked as an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center for over 12 years where he held the appointment of Associate Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He has performed more than 1000 minimally invasive image-guided procedures improving women’s health and was a well-regarded mentor in instructing trainees and other physicians on the newest techniques. He is a renowned leading expert in the Uterine Artery Embolization procedure and has been invited to lecture on this topic at both national and international scientific meetings. He has published on this topic as well in prominent peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Golowa is passionate about advancing effective treatments for women’s health. He believes in a team-based approach to providing patient-centered care with compassion and a personal touch.
